The Topic Accidental Wolf Sweepstakes Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

The Topic Accidental Wolf Movie Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) begins on or about 12 noon Pacific Time (“PT”) on November 6, 2020 and ends at 11:59 pm PT on November 30, 2020 (“Sweepstakes Period”). Sponsor’s time clock will be the official clock of the Sweepstakes. These Official Rules will be construed and evaluated only according to laws within the United States and Canada. Do not enter the Sweepstakes if you are not a legal resident of the United States or Canada at the time of entry.

Eligibility: Open only to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Canada who are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in their state or province of residence, whichever is older. Employees, representatives and agents of First Look Productions, d/b/a Topic (“Sponsor”), The Wrap News Inc., and of their respective parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates and of any third parties involved in the development or administration of this Sweepstakes (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Entities”), as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employees, representatives and agents are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Void where prohibited.

How to Enter: There are two ways to enter, by mail and online.

To enter online, during the Sweepstakes Period, go to https://topic.com/wolfcontest and sign up for a free trial of Topic’s streaming service. By signing up, you will receive one entry into the Sweepstakes. Payment information will be required to sign up and free trial will convert to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel before trial period ends. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation will not negate sweepstakes entry nor affect your chances of winning. You must also agree to receive Topic’s free email newsletter upon signing up, however, you may later withdraw your consent to receive such newsletter without affecting your eligibility in the Sweepstakes (for details on how to withdraw your consent, please consult the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, which is available at https://topic.com/privacy-policy). Current subscribers to Topic’s streaming service may also enter by accurately completing the entry form at https://topic.com/wolfcontest. If there is a dispute as to who submitted any online entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.

To enter by mail, during the Sweepstakes Period, send your name, address, age, and email address to The Topic Accidental Wolf Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 348, New York, NY 10276. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by November 30, 2020 and received by no later than Friday, December 11, 2020. Entries must be handwritten. Upon receipt of your mail-in entry, you will receive one entry in the Sweepstakes. Limit one entry per outer mailing envelope.

Conditions Applicable to All Entries: Limit one entry per person, regardless of method of entry. Entries in excess of this limit will be disqualified if discovered by Sponsor. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant’s entries if discovered by Sponsor, and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to submit entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification if discovered by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entry at any time that in Sponsor’s opinion does not comply with these Official Rules. All entries must be received by the deadlines set forth above. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. All received entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor, and none will be acknowledged or returned. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, postage-due, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, or stolen entries, which will be disqualified.

Winner Selection, Notification, and Verification: After December 11, 2020, winners will be selected by random drawing from among all eligible entries. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries. Entrants selected must comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. Sponsor will attempt to contact winners by email within 14 business days of the random draw. Potential winner must sign and return to Sponsor, within five business days of being notified, an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity (except where prohibited) release and provide requested identification in order to claim his/her prize. US-based winner may also be required to complete and return an IRS Form W-9. If a Canadian citizen is eligible to win, he/she will be required to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question in order to be declared a winner. If potential winner does not respond within 72 hours after the first attempt to contact potential winner, if potential winner fails to sign and return required documents and provide required identification by the deadlines set by Sponsor, if potential winner is not in compliance with the Official Rules (including eligibility requirements), if potential winner who is Canadian fails correctly to answer the mathematical question, or if potential winner declines the prize, Sponsor may select an alternate winner by random drawing from remaining eligible entries, time permitting.

Prizes: Ten prizes will be awarded in this Sweepstakes. Each prize consists of: A personal recorded video message from Arian Moayed (the “Video”), an autographed script of The Accidental Wolf from series star and 7-time Tony nominee Kelli O’Hara and other cast members (the “Script”); and a complimentary 1-year subscription to Topic’s streaming service for the winner. The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each prize is $60 USD/$80CAD. Prize is nontransferable, and there are no substitutions except at the discretion of Sponsor. Prizes will be sent to verified winners by email (video message and Topic subscription link) and by postal mail (autographed story script). Subscriptions to Topic’s streaming service available only to individuals in the U.S. and Canada, and are subject to Topic’s streaming service terms and conditions (available at: https://topic.com/terms-of-service). Sponsor not responsible for loss, delay, or damage in delivery. All expenses not expressly stated in the package above will be the sole responsibility of winner, including but not limited to any government taxes. There is no ARV for the Video, and, if the Video does not occur for any reason, no alternate prize will be awarded. There is no ARV for the autographs on the Script, and, if the Script is not signed for any reason, no alternate prize will be awarded. All properly claimed prizes will be awarded provided a sufficient number of eligible entries are received, but in no event will Sponsor award more prizes than are provided for in these Official Rules.

Publicity: Except where prohibited, participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes winner’s consent to allow each of the Sweepstakes Entities to use winner’s name, likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information, hometown, and state/province for promotional purposes in connection with the Sweepstakes only, in any media worldwide without further payment or consideration. (TN residents need not so consent.)

General Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right (subject only to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux in Québec) to cancel or modify the online portion of the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In such event, Sponsor will award the prizes by random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect online entries received up to the time of the impairment as well as all eligible mail-in entries received by the deadline set forth above. If Sponsor terminates the online portion of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor will post notice of its action on the Sweepstakes website. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. If a dispute arises regarding compliance with these Official Rules, Sponsor may consider, in its sole discretion, data reasonably available to Sponsor through information technology systems in Sponsor’s control, but Sponsor will not be obligated to consider any data or other information collected from any other source. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules will not constitute a waiver of that provision. If there is any conflict between any term of these Official Rules and any of the entry or marketing materials used in connection with the Sweepstakes, the terms of the Official Rules will govern.

Release: By entering this Sweepstakes, entrant agrees to release and hold harmless each of the Sweepstakes Entities, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action including, without limitation, personal injury, death or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of the prize.

Limitations of Liability: The Released Parties are not responsible for: (i) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment of programming associated with or used in the Sweepstakes; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (iii) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (iv) technical or human error that may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; (v) lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected entries; or (vi) any injury or damage to persons or property, including but not limited to entrant’s computer, hardware or software, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse or inability to use the prize. If for any reason an entrant’s entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Sweepstakes, provided that, if it is not possible to award another entry because of discontinuance of the Sweepstakes, or any part of it, for any reason.

Disputes: Entrant agrees that: (i) all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or the prize awarded must be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate federal or state court located in the County of New York, NY; (ii) all claims, judgments and awards will be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (iii) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, will be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of New York or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of New York.
