Miriam's journey starts in the divided city of Chicago. Staying with air BnB 'super hosts' Larry and Jai, she's introduced to ex Playboy bunny, Candace, who’s now a leading socialite. Candace persuades the scruffy Miriam to have a beauty salon makeover and wardrobe revamp before heading to a glittering social event. But Miriam wants to see the other side of this city of divided fortunes, and travels to Chicago's troubled South Side where some say the American dream has become a nightmare.

Miriam tries to survive a kids summer camp, spends time in jail with a Trump loving sheriff and heads for the hills to hunker down with some Preppers – Americans who are bracing themselves for the end of the world. Miriam wants to learn about American Values - what are they? Why do some feel they’re under threat, and what are they doing about it?

Miriam smack in the middle of cowboy country - rural Arkansas - hanging out with Wild West cattle farmers and western goods emporium owners Dan & Peggy Eoff. Seduced by the landscape, Miriam feels the stark divide between city and country folk and sees first hand why they feel Trump is their man.
